Millie Bobby Brown Praises David Harbour at ‘Stranger Things’ Premiere Amid Bullying Allegations
Millie Bobby Brown publicly expressed her appreciation for David Harbour at the premiere of “Stranger Things” Season 5 yesterday, days after reports surfaced alleging she accused him of bullying and harassment.
At the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, the 21-year-old actress told Extra that she and Harbour, 50, are “so lucky to have each other.” Brown, who plays Eleven, described reuniting with her co-star, who portrays Jim Hopper Jr., as “amazing,” adding, “The show means so much to the both of us and to everyone here.” She continued, “This has, like, been the last 10 years of our lives. So, we’ve dedicated a lot of it, and we’re so excited to see that come to screen.” The pair posed for photos together on the red carpet, appearing amicable despite the recent claims.
Reports last week indicated Brown filed a complaint against Harbour prior to filming Season 5 in early 2024, with a source telling the Daily Mail the complaint contained “pages and pages of accusations,” though not of sexual impropriety. A body language expert analyzing photos from the premiere described their interactions as “overkill,” noting exaggerated laughter, but ultimately found “no obvious signs of tension.” Executive producer Shawn Levy addressed the reports Thursday, telling the Hollywood Reporter he’d seen “wildly inaccurate” information, while emphasizing the importance of a safe and respectful work environment. This situation highlights the increasing scrutiny of workplace conduct within the entertainment industry.
Representatives for Harbour and Brown have not yet responded to requests for comment. Levy stated they “did everything to build that environment” on set, and are proud of the results.
