The ‘Grandes Recitales’ series in Benidorm continues with a special chamber music performance by the duo ‘Miscelánea’ on April 17, 2026. The concert, titled ‘Echoes of an Anniversary. Around Manuel de Falla,’ will take place at 8:00 PM in the City Hall Auditorium, featuring violinist Alba Signes and pianist María Eugenia Palomares.

The program opens with the ‘Miller’s Dance’ from Manuel de Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat, followed by Igor Stravinsky’s ‘Italian Suite’ — including the Introduction, Serenade, Tarantella, Gavotte with two variations, Scherzino, Minuet, and Finale. The second half presents Falla’s ‘Popular Suite,’ with performances of ‘El paño moruno,’ ‘Nana,’ ‘Canción,’ ‘Polo,’ ‘Asturiana,’ and ‘Jota.’

Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Culture Councilor Jaime Jesús Pérez encouraged local residents to attend, calling the series one of the city’s most cherished cultural offerings and praising the ‘exceptional quality’ of its year-round lineup.

Alba Signes, born in 1999 in Gata de Gorgos, began violin studies in 2007 at the Professional Music Conservatory ‘Tenor Cortis’ in Denia. She completed her professional training in 2016, earning the unanimous Final Prize in Professional Studies. Her collaborator, María Eugenia Palomares, joins her in bringing these Spanish and Russian works to life in an intimate, acoustically refined setting.

The performance adds to Benidorm’s spring cultural calendar, offering audiences a chance to experience live classical music in one of the city’s most emblematic venues.
