Miss Universe 2025 Walked Off Set After Questions About Contest Controversies

Tension filled the air during the latest public appearance of Fátima Bosch, Miss Universe 2025. The Mexican beauty queen abruptly ended a live interview after becoming visibly uncomfortable with questions surrounding the controversies surrounding her coronation, including internal investigations within the pageant organization and a lawsuit filed by Nawat Itsaragrisil, director of Miss Universe Thailand.

On Sunday, Bosch was welcomed by hosts Lourdes Stephen and Carlos Adyan on Telemundo’s Pica y se extiende. From the start, she faced questioning about the challenges to her win and allegations against Raúl Rocha, president of the Miss Universe Organization, which quickly made the model uneasy.

Why Did She Leave the Interview?

A breaking point came when Carlos Adyan brought up comments made by Miss Universe regarding the visa situations of some contestants. “What would you say to the girls who perhaps don’t have the privilege of a visa like yours?” he asked.

Bosch initially responded: “I don’t know the rules thoroughly, but everyone should have the same opportunities to win, regardless of their passport.” However, she added: “Miss Universe is a company and a job. If you have to travel the world, it’s obvious they need someone who can travel easily.”

Later, Lourdes Stephen asked if she would have competed knowing the controversies that would unfold, including the freezing of bank accounts belonging to the pageant president. Bosch defended her participation: “Miss Universe is a dream. I have nothing to do with those issues. My job is to be a voice for women. I don’t think my participation should be related to external matters.”

The beauty queen also expressed regret that media attention wasn’t focused on her charitable work. “Sadly, we live in a society where people are still bothered by seeing a woman shine. No one has asked me what I’m doing with my job, what social causes I’m going to support, but they do ask me controversial things.”

Fátima Bosch Denies Lawsuit

Another tense moment occurred when Adyan questioned her about the defamation lawsuit filed by Nawat Itsaragrisil last week, following Bosch’s earlier claim that he called her “stupid” in front of other contestants.

Bosch stated live: “I don’t have any lawsuit. I haven’t defamed anyone. I don’t want to talk about that topic.” However, Adyan later revealed that Bosch shared a different perspective with him off-camera: “She told me that her father was already aware and handling the legal situation. In other words, she does know the lawsuit exists, although she didn’t express it that way during the interview.”

She Walks Off Set and Cancels Telemundo Appearances

After approximately 10 minutes of the interview, the program went to a commercial break. Before the cut, Lourdes Stephen announced that Fátima would remain for the rest of the show, and Carlos Adyan stated that the beauty queen would be present throughout the week on Telemundo’s entertainment programs.

However, upon returning from the break, Adyan informed viewers that Bosch had decided to leave the studio and cancel all her scheduled appearances with the network for the week, without providing further explanation.

Later, on another program, En Casa con Telemundo, the host added: “I want to clarify that we highlight the work she does and that of the organization regarding women’s empowerment, but we are not responsible if she has trouble answering questions. That’s why she decided to leave the programs.”
