A public dispute has erupted between Colo Colo sporting director Daniel Morón and former player Pablo Mouche over accusations of alleged pressure tactics and misrepresentation of events during mouche’s time with the Chilean club. The exchange, which began with Morón’s public response to mouche’s claims, centers on the role of the fan group *barra brava* and the circumstances surrounding Mouche’s departure from Colo Colo during the COVID-19 pandemic [[1]]. Mouche vehemently refuted Morón’s account in a segment on *Planeta Boca Juniors*, alleging a deliberate attempt to distort the truth.

Colo Colo’s sporting director, Daniel Morón, publicly responded to accusations from former player Pablo Mouche regarding alleged pressure tactics used by the club’s leadership during a period of sporting crisis. The exchange highlights tensions within the Chilean club as it navigates a challenging season.

Morón dismissed the claims, stating, “The people didn’t come to pressure them, the people came to support them. Do you remember how the fans were here, and throughout the entire country, like during the entire trip to Talca? If that’s what you call pressure, then bring on the pressure from the Colo Colo fans. Pablito Mouche, you missed the best farewell,” the former goalkeeper said.

Mouche quickly countered during a segment on the Planeta Boca Juniors program, challenging Morón’s account and questioning his role within the club during his own time as a player.

“I had to look online to see what Daniel Morón was doing when I was a player at Colo Colo. According to records, between 2018 and 2020 he was part of the board of Blanco y Negro, the limited company that manages the club to this day, the same company that signed me,” Mouche began.

The former forward asserted that he never had any direct interaction with Morón during his tenure at the club.

“I want to tell Daniel Morón that, during all the time I was at the club, I never saw him. Not in the hallways, not with the team, not in the locker room, not during training, I didn’t see him at my presentation or my farewell. I also didn’t see him in any contract negotiations or conversations related to me. Therefore, I don’t know what he was doing at Blanco y Negro at that time,” he added.

Mouche then directly refuted Morón’s statements, accusing him of misrepresenting the truth.

“I’m going to respond to you, Daniel, because you’re saying that the Colo Colo barra brava went to support me at the training center, and that’s a lie. It’s also a lie that I didn’t sign a two-month contract during the pandemic year: I did sign it and I did play. The only game I didn’t play was the last one, because I had a torn muscle. In fact, the game before that final, I played with a torn adductor. That alone disproves your claim,” he clarified.

He also stated that Morón was not involved in the contract negotiations surrounding his departure from the club.

“Secondly: you weren’t involved in the negotiation for the extra year of contract that I requested. I requested that in October and it was with Marcelo Espina, who was my sporting director at the time. Marcelo Espina was fired in October and November, and then you took over as sporting director,” he pointed out.

The most heated part of Mouche’s response centered on the incident with the Colo Colo barra brava, which Morón had characterized as a show of support.

Regarding the barra brava, let me clarify the following: they entered the internal parking lot of the training center, where each player has their assigned space with their number and name. They stood next to my car, not to support me, but to talk to the team. I was pointed at with a finger along with my friend and teammate Chaco Isaurralde, and they hung a banner during training,” the Argentine clarified.

Visibly frustrated, the former winger concluded his statement accusing Morón of protecting the barra brava and misleading the fans.

Here I can defend myself and here I can deny you, because you are lying to the people of Colo Colo. You are defending the barra bravas and you are lying to the members and the players who shared that team and who were threatened, not before a final, but several months before, in the middle of the conflict during the pandemic. I won’t respond to you anymore. I don’t know you as a person and I have nothing against you, but I have to defend myself against the lies you said publicly,” he finished.
