Las Vegas Crash Claims 138th Traffic Fatality of 2025
A collision at the intersection of Sunset Road and Sandhill Road in Las Vegas yesterday resulted in the 138th traffic-related fatality within the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department this year.
The incident occurred around 1:42 p.m. on Monday, November 10th. Evidence and surveillance footage indicate a red Chevrolet Equinox traveling east on Sunset Road attempted a left turn onto Sandhill Road, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. This led to a collision with a gray Honda Accord heading westbound. The Honda then struck a Toyota Camry that was stopped at a red light on Sandhill Road.
All three drivers were transported to Sunrise Hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save him, the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox succumbed to his injuries. The drivers of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry sustained minor injuries. Authorities have stated that impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
