At approximately 3:30 PM, at least ten police cruisers converged on Constanze-Hallgarten-Straße to apprehend a suspected drug dealer. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) was also involved in preparing the arrest. However, the 34-year-old suspect allegedly resisted and drove his vehicle toward the officers. Police then fired at least one shot, wounding the man.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a hospital with injuries, a police spokesperson told our newsroom. His life is not currently in danger.

Munich Police Department’s Unit 11 took over the further investigation. The State Criminal Investigation Office (LKA) will also review the legality of the police use of firearms, as is customary in such cases, the police spokesperson added.
