Revolution X Unlimited Anniversary Edition: A Blast from the Past
To commemorate the anniversary of the Xbox 360, Nacon is releasing an anniversary edition of its Revolution X Unlimited controller, sporting the iconic colors of the 2005 console. Officially licensed as “Designed for Xbox,” this version builds upon the high-performance chassis released in April 2025, which received positive reviews from both press and players, and reimagines it with a design faithful to the original Xbox 360 aesthetic. Pre-orders are currently open on nacongaming.com.
Packed with Tech: Hall Effect Sticks, Omron Micro-Switches, and LCD Screen
Nacon highlights several key features of the anniversary edition, including Hall effect sticks designed to eliminate stick drift and extend the controller’s lifespan. The controller also offers a wireless connection via a dongle engineered to minimize latency, and Omron micro-switches on the buttons, triggers, and D-pad for crisp and precise inputs. This focus on component quality reflects a broader trend in the gaming peripheral market towards enhanced durability and responsiveness.

An integrated LCD screen simplifies configuration, navigation, and profile selection, while a dedicated PC application allows for fine-tuning of settings and the creation of multiple game profiles. Nacon summarizes its approach as “a concentrate of technology combining durability and precision.”

According to Nacon, the anniversary edition is primarily targeted towards FPS players on Xbox and PC, emphasizing extensive customization options and a balance between modern comfort and retro aesthetics. The company has not yet disclosed any material differences between this model and the 2025 version, aside from the color scheme inspired by the Xbox 360. The controller will retail for €199.
