Sony Announces May 2026 PlayStation Plus Game Catalog Lineup
Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled the latest additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for May 2026, featuring a heavyweight lineup that blends modern open-world adventures with nostalgic arcade classics. Announced on May 13, 2026, the update is headlined by the arrival of Star Wars Outlaws and Red Dead Redemption 2, signaling a strategic push to provide high-value blockbuster content to its subscriber base.
Among the most anticipated additions is Star Wars Outlaws for the PS5, marking the first-ever open-world experience in the Star Wars universe. Players will step into the role of Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel attempting to secure her freedom by navigating the dangerous underworld of the galaxy’s crime syndicates. The timing of the release coincides with the theatrical debut of The Mandalorian and Grogu, further bridging the gap between the franchise’s cinematic and gaming ecosystems.
Joining the catalog for PS4 is Rockstar’s acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2, which includes access to Red Dead Online. The title follows the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde Gang as they flee the town of Blackwater during the decline of the American Wild West. The return of this epic western comes amid significant community anticipation for Rockstar’s upcoming GTA 6.

Beyond the headliners, the May update introduces a diverse array of titles for PlayStation Extra and Premium members. Fantasy adventure Bramble: The Mountain King allows players to control a young hero named Olle on a quest to rescue his sister from a troll. For fans of character-driven RPGs, The Thaumaturge offers turn-based combat and moral dilemmas set against the backdrop of early 20th-century Warsaw.
The catalog also expands its “Souls-like” offerings with Enotria: The Last Song, an Italian-inspired title, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, developed by A44. Fans of classic adventures can access the revamped Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged.
Subscribers on the Premium tier will receive an exclusive addition: the PlayStation 1 version of the arcade shooter Time Crisis. This version features console-exclusive special stages and updated gyro aiming for a modernized experience.
According to Adam Michel, Director of Content Acquisition & Operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment, these titles will be available for play starting May 19, 2026. This diverse curation reflects the industry’s ongoing trend of blending prestige legacy titles with new genre-bending releases to drive long-term subscription engagement.
