Police Seek Man Following Attempted Rape in Brooklyn
The New York Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape that occurred Friday night in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
According to police, the incident took place near the intersection of Cook Street and Avenue of Puerto Rico, also known as Graham Avenue, when a woman in her late 20s was entering a residence. An unidentified male forcibly entered the home, exposed himself, and attempted to remove the woman’s clothing. The suspect then fled southbound on Graham Avenue, and the woman did not sustain any physical injuries.
Investigators have released images of the suspect, noting a distinctive cursive tattoo above his eyebrow. This incident underscores the ongoing concerns about safety for residents in the area, and the NYPD is prioritizing the apprehension of the individual responsible.
