No. 14 Minnesota Defeats Ohio State Women’s Volleyball in Straight Sets
The Ohio State women’s volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat against No. 14 Minnesota today in Minneapolis, continuing a challenging stretch for the Buckeyes.
Minnesota secured the victory with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-14. The Gophers closed out the first set with a strong run, including three consecutive aces from Mina Gunes. The Buckeyes battled in the second set, tying the score at 20-20, but Minnesota responded with a final surge to take the lead. Minnesota dominated the third set, showcasing their strength and securing the match win.
Hannah Jones led the Buckeyes with 12 kills, while Kaia Castle recorded a team-high five blocks. Mia Tuman reached a milestone, notching her 600th career dig during the match.
