After a lengthy development cycle, Megapixel Studio and Forever Entertainment are nearing the release of their Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake, initially slated for launch in 2021. Now, in 2026, the remake is finally showing signs of imminent arrival.

Coinciding with Steam Next Fest, a playable demo has been released, allowing players to experience the adventure of Jean-Luc Lundis and his dragon, Lagi. A new trailer is likewise available, which can be viewed below.

The original Panzer Dragoon II Zwei debuted in 1996 for the Sega Saturn, receiving widespread critical acclaim. However, the platform’s limited market reach resulted in disappointing sales figures. Following the release of Panzer Dragoon Orta for the Xbox in 2002, Sega showed no further interest in the series, maintaining its presence only through brand licensing.
