The atmosphere at the stadium reached a fever pitch as Kurzawa was introduced to the Persib supporters, known as Bobotoh, following the final whistle.

Kurzawa was presented alongside another new addition to the Persib squad, 20-year-old Dutch-Indonesian international Dion Markx. Both players join the club during the mid-season transfer window of the 2025/2026 Super League campaign.

The 33-year-old Kurzawa had been a free agent since July 2025, having most recently played for Portuguese side Boavista.

Kurzawa has a decorated career in European football, rising to prominence with AS Monaco before making a move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.

He spent a loan period with Fulham in the English Premier League in 2023 and departed PSG in 2024.

At PSG, Kurzawa enjoyed a period of significant success, contributing to five Ligue 1 titles and five Coupe de France triumphs. He also earned 13 caps for the French national team.

Persib Bandung hopes the arrival of Kurzawa and Markx will bolster their squad as they compete for both the Super League title and continue their run in the AFC Champions League 2 group stage.
