Second Season of ‘Petitcure ~Precure Fairies~’ Anime Set to Premiere Next Week
A second season of the popular short-form anime series Petitcure ~Precure Fairies~ will begin streaming on October 9, bringing back beloved mascot characters and introducing new faces to the magical world.
The new season unfolds in a fantastical “sweets paradise” and features a roster of Petit Cures including Niko, Candy, Kome-Kome, Milk, Daifuku, Mepple, Mipple, Chypre, Pekorin, and Chiffon, alongside returning characters Mofurun and Porun. The series, a spinoff of the long-running Precure franchise, initially launched on April 3 and is notable for its non-verbal animation style. This unique approach allows for a wider international audience, as it removes language barriers.
The theme song, “♥DANZEN! kawaii! Petitcure♥” (♥TOTALLY! cute! Petitcure♥), is performed by franchise veteran Moeha Nochimoto. The anime is directed by Yuuko Okumura (Golden Kamuy, Kingdom 3D) with series scripts by Momoka Toyoda (Liar Liar, My Happy Marriage) and music composed by Rina Tayama (Vampire Dormitory). The project, created by Izumi Todo, marks the first time a Precure series has exclusively streamed on YouTube and other social media platforms, signaling a shift in distribution strategies for the franchise.
Officials have stated that the second season will continue to deliver the charming and whimsical adventures fans have come to expect, expanding the universe of the Petitcure characters. The series will continue to be available on the franchise’s YouTube channel and other social media venues.
