Spanish prosecutors have dismissed a complaint alleging the misappropriation of funds raised for victims of the Dana storm by a youth organization linked to the Vox party.
The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Madrid determined that the accusations filed by two former leaders of Revuelta were too vague and lacked substantial evidence to warrant further investigation.
Arturo Villarroya and Javier Esteban Bejarano, who resigned from the organization in November, had accused Revuelta leadership of diverting approximately 105,000 euros intended for storm relief efforts. They also alleged improper use of organizational vehicles, submission of false invoices worth 5,000 euros, and the collection of membership fees without providing corresponding member benefits.
The denunciants claimed they had unsuccessfully requested in October that Revuelta president Jaime Hernández Zúñiga convene a notarized board meeting and assembly to address financial irregularities, settle outstanding tax obligations, and donate any remaining funds to actual victims of the Dana floods in Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha.
Prosecutors concluded that while the complaint raised serious allegations, the presented information was insufficiently specific to proceed with formal charges.
