Royal Challengers Bengaluru finished the 2024 IPL league stage in fourth place with seven wins and seven losses, earning 14 points and securing a spot in the Eliminator. Virat Kohli led the team in runs with 741, earning the Orange Cap and a ₹10 lakh cash prize. Yash Dayal took the most wickets for RCB with 15, even as Faf du Plessis made the most catches (8) and Anuj Rawat recorded the highest number of wicket-keeping dismissals (5). The team was eliminated after losing the Eliminator to Rajasthan Royals on May 22, 2024, in Ahmedabad. RCB had qualified for the playoffs following their seventh win on May 18, 2024. Kohli similarly became the first player to score 3,000 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during the season.
