Rian D’Masiv has responded to allegations of child grooming, stating he is unconcerned by the claims as they are untrue. The singer addressed the issue with a calm demeanor, offering a denial.

The controversy began with a social media post from an individual claiming to be a victim of grooming by D’Masiv’s frontman. The account, @uhhhh.melia on Threads, detailed the alleged experience and cited increased public awareness of the issue following the release of Aurelie Moeremans’ book, Broken Strings.

“Because it’s not true, we’re just taking it easy. It’s just not true,” Rian D’Masiv said Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

D’Masiv has already taken legal action in response to the accusations. “That’s not true. That’s why we’re processing it legally, through my lawyer,” Rian explained.

The allegations come amid a broader cultural conversation surrounding child grooming and the importance of speaking out against abuse. The case highlights the growing impact of social media in bringing these issues to light.

Rian D’Masiv stated he wasn’t particularly bothered by the accusations, reiterating his denial. “People are just making things up,” he said.
