Sabrina Carpenter Celebrates Halloween with Costumes at Madison Square Garden

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter marked Halloween with a series of elaborate costumes during her Short n’ Sweet Tour stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden yesterday, delighting fans and generating buzz online.

Carpenter, 26, performed while dressed as Wonder Woman, Barbie, and Wilma Flintstone, incorporating the costumes into her setlist. She performed her hit single, “Manchild,” while wearing the Wonder Woman outfit, a look that garnered attention from Lynda Carter herself, who shared on X, “I see this little argument about Wonder Woman being brunette…Reminder! Wonder Woman is within all of us, and sometimes, she has blonde hair like @SabrinaAnnLynn.” Carpenter also covered Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” in Margot Robbie’s iconic pink cowgirl outfit from the 2023 film and performed “Please, Please, Please” as Wilma Flintstone, adding a unique twist to the character’s classic look.

The concert also featured a playful “arrest” of actress Drew Barrymore, dressed as Scream’s Ghostface, during Carpenter’s performance of “Juno,” a tradition she’s continued throughout the tour’s second leg, which began in Pittsburgh on October 23. Earlier in the tour, Gigi Hadid was playfully “arrested” during a show, reacting to the moment on her Instagram Stories. Carpenter’s tour supports her albums Short n’ Sweet and Man’s Best Friend, and has been praised for its energetic performances and creative stagecraft, solidifying her position as a rising star in the pop music scene – a position she recently bolstered with her debut hosting gig on Saturday Night Live in October.

Following the concert, Carpenter was seen with Saturday Night Live star Veronika Slowikowska at a Halloween party in New York City. Tour dates are scheduled to continue through December, with Carpenter expected to continue incorporating themed elements into her performances.
