Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Book6 Edge, a new addition to its laptop lineup featuring a Snapdragon X2 Elite processor and a notably slim design. The device, which debuted following the introduction of the Galaxy Book6 series at CES 2026, aims to deliver enhanced performance and AI capabilities in a portable form factor.
The Galaxy Book6 Edge boasts a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the screen is not a touchscreen, it incorporates an anti-glare coating and reaches a brightness of 500 nits. This focus on display quality underscores Samsung’s commitment to providing immersive viewing experiences.
Powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor – specifically the X2E-88-100 version – the laptop includes an 18-core CPU comprised of 12 prime cores and 6 performance cores, alongside an XE-90 GPU clocked at 1.7GHz. The system utilizes LPDDR5X memory with a 128-bit bus, achieving a bandwidth of 152GB/s. All X2 Elite chips integrate an 80 TOPS NPU, designed to accelerate AI tasks within Windows 11.
Despite its thin profile – measuring just 12.3mm thick and weighing 1.55kg – the Galaxy Book6 Edge packs a 61.8Wh battery, offering up to 22 hours of battery life. The laptop similarly includes a range of ports, including HDMI 2.1, two USB 4.0 ports, and one USB 3.2 Type-A port, as well as a headphone jack and a microSD slot.
Connectivity features include tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. A fingerprint reader and a 1080p webcam are also integrated into the device. The Galaxy Book6 Edge is currently priced at €2,200 for a base model with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
Samsung has not yet confirmed whether a 14-inch version of the Edge model will be released. Pricing for Intel-based versions of the Galaxy Book6 is already available in Europe, with the 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Pro starting at €1,900 and the standard 16-inch Galaxy Book6 beginning at €1,250.
