The pair were photographed Friday with Sia carrying Somersault in her arms, both sporting bright pink crayon costumes. A man believed to be Sia’s father-in-law, Jon Bernad, pushed a stroller alongside them. The outing occurred at the end of a week dominated by legal filings in the couple’s divorce and custody battle.
Daniel Bernad filed for emergency custody of Somersault, alleging substance abuse issues on Sia’s part and claiming she poses a danger to their son. Sia, represented by attorney Laura Wasser, responded with accusations that Bernad was previously investigated for child pornography, allegations he has vehemently denied, suggesting potential fabrication of evidence. A judge denied the emergency custody request and has ordered both parties to mediation.
