Jakarta – A tragic traffic incident Tuesday morning claimed the life of Hudi Suryodipuro,48,Vice President Secretary of the special Task Force for Upstream Oil adn Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas). Suryodipuro was fatally struck by a stationary Transjakarta bus in Central Jakarta while cycling to work, according to police reports. The SKK migas association confirmed the loss in a statement posted to social media, expressing deep sorrow and offering condolences to the family [[1]].

A cyclist died Tuesday after colliding with a stationary Transjakarta bus at a bus stop in Central Jakarta. The victim has been identified as Hudi Suryodipuro, 48, Vice President Secretary of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas).

“We deeply mourn the passing of Hudi Dananjoyo Suryodipuro, Vice President Secretary of SKK Migas. May he rest in peace, and may his family be given strength during this difficult time,” read a statement posted to the SKK Migas official Instagram account, @skkmigasofficial, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

The cyclist sustained head injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Details of the Incident




Police say the incident occurred at the Karet Sudirman bus stop in Central Jakarta. The cyclist struck the back of a Transjakarta bus that was stopped to allow passengers to board and disembark.

According to Police Commissioner Ojo Ruslani, of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Subdirectorate, the accident took place around 6:20 a.m. local time.

“The cyclist was traveling northbound on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman when the incident occurred,” Ruslani said.

He added that the bus was in the process of picking up and dropping off passengers when the cyclist collided with the rear of the vehicle.

“The victim is believed to have struck the back of a Transjakarta electric bus with license plate B-7058-SGX, which was stopped to serve passengers,” Ruslani explained.
