Tides of Tomorrow, the first-person adventure game developed by DigixArt and published by THQ Nordic, was released on April 22, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S. The game features asynchronous multiplayer mechanics where players assume the role of a Tidewalker exploring an ocean planet with floating communities.

As players progress through the game, they encounter “Visions” that show how previous players interacted with the world, influencing non-player character behavior and altering mission conditions based on past actions. For example, selfish decisions by earlier players may make NPCs more suspicious, while violent approaches to missions could increase security in certain areas.

Players can choose to follow the path of previous players or forge their own route, using left-behind materials and Visions to solve puzzles, discover alternative paths, or avoid traps. At the conclusion of each mission, they have the option to continue with the same player’s world state or switch to another.

The title represents a narrative-driven experience where individual choices create ripple effects across the shared game world, emphasizing player agency within a connected multiplayer framework. Developed by the team behind Road 96, Tides of Tomorrow launched globally on its scheduled release date, offering a unique blend of solo exploration and indirect player interaction.
