Tite to Cruzeiro: 6 Série A Teams Change Coaches After Brasileirão

The Brazilian Série A is already seeing notable movement in the managerial ranks as clubs prepare for the 2026 season. Following the conclusion of the Brasileirão, a notable six teams – Cruzeiro, Internacional, grêmio, Botafogo, Coritiba, and Remo – have opted for new leadership, representing a full 30% turnover among top-flight clubs. The flurry of changes signals an active offseason and a reshuffling of strategies as teams vie for position in the upcoming campaign.

Roughly two weeks after the conclusion of the Brasileirão season, six clubs preparing for the 2026 Série A campaign have already made changes at the managerial position.

Busy Offseason

Cruzeiro, Internacional, Grêmio, Botafogo, Coritiba and Remo will all begin the 2026 season with new leadership. This wave of changes means 30% of the teams slated to compete in Brazil’s top flight next year have already parted ways with their managers.

Of the six, only Botafogo has yet to name a replacement. The club announced the departure of Italian manager David Ancelotti following disagreements regarding the exit of fitness coach Luca Guerra.
