Former U.S. President Donald Trump has boasted about the effectiveness of a recent American strike, claiming it eliminated not only current Iranian leadership but also future successors. The remarks come amid heightened tensions following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader.

“There’s nobody to think about [as a successor], because we’ve taken everybody out. Second and third in line,”

– Trump said in a brief interview with ABC News.

Despite Trump’s assertions, President Masoud Pesesjian and Ali Larijani, the head of the National Security Council, remain alive and are considered the country’s most powerful leaders following the death of the Supreme Leader.
