Trump Mobile Unveils Redesigned T1 Phone with Updated Specifications
Trump Mobile has overhauled its official website as of April 14, 2026, introducing a third design iteration for the T1 Phone. While the device has undergone significant visual and technical revisions, the company has yet to announce a firm release date, leaving some uncertainties regarding the product’s timeline.
The latest renders showcase a gold handset featuring a triple vertical-lens rear camera bump branded with “Trump Mobile.” The design as well incorporates an American flag on the back, available in either black or white. While the website notes that these images are for illustration purposes and final specifications may vary, this version represents the most recent evolution of a device first announced in June 2025.
The updated technical specifications indicate a move toward mid-to-high-range hardware. The T1 Phone is slated to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and will run on Android 15, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Mobile Platform. For photography, the device includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens, complemented by a 50MP front-facing camera. Internal storage is set at 512GB, supported by a 5,000-mAh battery with 30-watt quick charging, a fingerprint sensor, and AI-driven face unlock.
This hardware pivot highlights the challenges of bringing proprietary branded devices to market in a competitive global landscape. Notably, Trump Mobile has shifted its marketing narrative regarding the phone’s origin. After an initial plan for an August 2025 release, the company dropped its “made in the US” claim due to the difficulties of large-scale domestic smartphone manufacturing. The T1 is now described as being designed with American values in mind, utilizing an “American-proud design” shaped by “American innovation.”

Pricing for the handset remains at $499, and the company continues to accept $100 deposits for preorders. Despite the website update, the previous mentions of a release arriving “later this year” have been removed, leaving the actual launch date of the T1 Phone unknown.
Beyond the hardware, Trump Mobile is positioning itself as a full-service carrier. The company offers a postpaid plan priced at $47.45 per month, which includes 20GB of high-speed data, unlimited talk and text within the U.S., and international calling to over 230 countries and territories. The service also bundles roadside assistance and telehealth access, with a unique branding feature where “Trump” is displayed in the device’s status bar as the network provider.
The continuous redesigns—marking a series of design shifts within a year—suggest an iterative approach to product development as the company attempts to align its hardware vision with manufacturing realities.
For those interested in the ecosystem, the carrier maintains a “Bring Your Own Phone” policy and provides a free SIM kit with shipping. However, the T1 Phone remains the centerpiece of the brand’s hardware ambitions, provided the company can finally move from renders to a retail release.
The strategy of bundling a specific hardware device with a tailored cellular plan indicates an attempt to build a dedicated user ecosystem, though the lack of a concrete release date remains a primary hurdle for consumer adoption.
