Tuva Råwall, an 18-year-old from Partille, Sweden, was crowned the winner of Idol 2025 during Saturday’s finale. Her captivating performances of songs by Sam Smith and Laleh won over both the judges and the viewing public.
Råwall faced off against Nicolina-Mercedes “Nico” Brandström, 16, and Love Hedlund Stenmarck, 19, in the competition’s final round. The Swedish singing competition, a staple of the country’s entertainment landscape, continues to launch new talent onto the music scene.
This year’s finale featured only covers, with contestants foregoing original songs. Råwall delivered a rendition of Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” as her chosen selection, Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” as the judges’ pick, and Laleh’s “Some Die Young” – a song she had previously performed during the season, known as a “Da capo” performance.
As in previous years, the grand prize includes a recording contract with Universal Music. Råwall’s win also secures her a spot on next year’s Digiloo tour.
