This incident marks the second reported death at the same sauna facility in less than a year, prompting a deeper look into the establishment’s safety protocols.

Two people were found dead Thursday morning in a private sauna in the Plzeň-Roudná district. Authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman, but initial findings suggest no foul play was involved.

Police confirmed they received a report of two deceased individuals. The victims have been identified as a woman born in 2001 and a man born in 1984, according to police spokesperson Michaela Raindlová. “No signs of external injury were found on either body,” Raindlová said. “An autopsy has been ordered to determine the precise cause of death.”

Paramedics responded to the scene with two ambulances, a physician-staffed vehicle, and an operations inspector. “Two individuals were found without signs of life at the sauna, and upon closer examination, certain signs of death were observed,” said Luboš Bouček, a regional spokesperson for the emergency medical services. “Our physician declared the individuals deceased, and a coroner was called to the scene.”

According to Krimi-Plzeň, the two individuals were found in a rented room on the second floor of the building. A witness reportedly pulled the woman from a room near the sauna after discovering both victims, while the man was found inside the sauna itself.

Previous Incident at the Same Location

This is not the first reported death at the sauna. Last summer, police found a man dead at the same location and ruled out foul play at that time.

The recent deaths are prompting a renewed investigation into the safety and operation of the private sauna facility.
