A planned overseas expedition for the U-17 J.League Select team has been canceled, effective March 5, due to uncertainties surrounding flight schedules impacted by the current global political climate. The decision prioritizes the safety of the players and staff, according to an official announcement.
The expedition, initially scheduled to begin March 7, was organized as part of the J.League’s overseas coach recruitment project, launched in October of last year. The U-17 J.League Select team was set to spend 10 days in Germany, participating in training matches against the youth organizations of Eintracht Frankfurt and Fortuna Düsseldorf. Roger Schmidt, the J.League Global Football Advisor, was slated to coach the team during the trip.
