UAE President Invited to GCC Summit in Bahrain

The United Arab Emirates has accepted an invitation from Bahrain to attend the 46th Summit of the Supreme Council of the Gulf cooperation Council (GCC) next month. The invitation, formally delivered November 21st by Bahrain’s ambassador to the UAE, Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, highlights the ongoing commitment to regional dialog and collaboration amongst member states. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has received an invitation to attend the 46th Summit of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The invitation was extended by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

The Bahraini monarch’s invitation, delivered on November 21, underscores the importance of the GCC as a key forum for regional security and cooperation. Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s ambassador to the UAE, presented the formal invitation to Sheikh Mohamed during a meeting at Al Bahar Palace in Abu Dhabi.

According to Bahrain’s state news agency, the ambassador conveyed King Hamad’s greetings to Sheikh Mohamed and expressed wishes for continued health and prosperity for the UAE and its people. Sheikh Mohamed, in turn, reciprocated these sentiments, sending his regards to King Hamad and wishing Bahrain continued progress and well-being.

The upcoming GCC summit, scheduled to take place in Bahrain in December, will likely address a range of pressing regional issues, including economic integration, security challenges, and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate ongoing conflicts.
