Victoria Beckham Responds to Rift With Son Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham has broken her silence on the ongoing family feud with her son Brooklyn Beckham, speaking publicly for the first time since his scathing social media posts earlier this year.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal published on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the former Spice Girl and fashion designer addressed the strained relationship without naming her son directly.

“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” Beckham said. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.”

She added, “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”

The interview comes months after Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 27, launched a public critique of his parents in January, accusing them of trying to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. He claimed Victoria abruptly withdrew from making Nicola’s wedding dress and danced inappropriately at their 2022 ceremony.

While David Beckham tentatively addressed the fallout on social media by wishing Brooklyn a happy birthday in March, Victoria had remained silent until this interview. The couple shares four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

Beckham acknowledged the intense scrutiny that comes with lifelong fame but reiterated her focus on family.

“We’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children,” she said.

The rift has reportedly led to Brooklyn and Nicola distancing themselves from the Beckham family, with the couple living in the U.S. And requesting no contact.

Despite the tension, both Victoria and David have extended olive branches, including the March birthday message, signaling a desire for reconciliation without delving into the specifics of the allegations.
