Indonesia’s smartphone market has gained two modern contenders with the launch of the Vivo T5 Series, comprising the Vivo T5 Pro 5G and the Vivo T5 4G. The devices, certified by Postel Indonesia in March 2026, are poised to arrive in April 2026, with the Pro model already available for purchase through official channels.
Vivo officially introduced the T5 Series, designed to cater to users prioritizing both performance and battery life. The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is currently priced at Rp4,599,000 for the 8GB/128GB configuration and Rp5,199,000 for the 8GB/256GB model, according to recent announcements.
The Vivo T5 Pro 5G boasts a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. It also features 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device’s camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with AI Aura Light technology, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. The phone also carries IP68, IP69, and IP69+ certifications for durability.
A standout feature of the T5 Pro 5G is its 6,500 mAh battery, supported by 90W FlashCharge technology, capable of reaching a 50% charge in just 23 minutes. Bypass Charging 2.0 is also included. The device achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 1 million points, indicating strong performance capabilities.
The standard Vivo T5 model offers a more streamlined experience, featuring a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. It comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The T5 also includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
Both the Vivo T5 Pro 5G and the Vivo T5 share a common trait: a substantial 7,200mAh battery. This focus on extended battery life reflects a growing trend in smartphone design, addressing consumer demand for devices that can keep pace with increasingly mobile lifestyles. The series initially launched in India on March 17, 2026, before expanding to the Indonesian market.
The Vivo T5 Series is available in a range of colors, with the Pro 5G offered in Black, Blue, and Pink, while the standard T5 comes in Gold and Black.
