Red Sox Infielder Cheng Tsung-Che Records First Spring Training Hit
With the World Baseball Classic set to begin on March 5th, Taiwanese national team member Cheng Tsung-Che continues to compete in Major League Baseball spring training, showcasing his skills with the Boston Red Sox. On Monday, February 25th, Cheng entered the game as a substitute at shortstop and delivered his first hit and first RBI of the spring, also scoring a run.
Cheng Tsung-Che entered the game to play shortstop in the sixth inning and reached base on a walk in his first at-bat. He later scored on a ground ball by a teammate.
