Four Dead, Thirteen Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Crowd in Tampa’s Ybor City
Four people were killed and at least thirteen others injured early today when a vehicle crashed into a crowd gathered outside a bar in Tampa’s historic Ybor City district.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on 7th Avenue, a popular entertainment destination, after law enforcement officers initiated a pursuit of a vehicle suspected of reckless driving. According to authorities, the suspect vehicle intentionally drove onto the sidewalk, striking pedestrians before coming to a stop. Thirteen individuals were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to critical. The driver was taken into custody.
