A flurry of activity is reshaping NBA rosters as teams prepare for the final stretch of the season. In a significant three-team trade, the Cleveland Cavaliers have sent forward De’Andre Hunter to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for veteran guard Dennis Schroder and young wing Keon Ellis.

The Chicago Bulls are also involved in the deal, acquiring Kings forward Dario Saric along with two future second-round draft picks, according to reports from the Chicago Tribune. The Bulls will also send Emanuel Miller to Cleveland as part of the transaction.

Schroder, in his first season with Sacramento, has been averaging 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He signed a three-year contract with the Kings last summer and will now bring his experience to the Cavaliers, becoming the 11th NBA team of his career.

Ellis has contributed 5.6 points and 1.1 steals per game for the Kings this season.

Hunter has been a consistent performer for the Cavaliers, averaging 14 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest. This trade could significantly impact Cleveland’s playoff push as they look to solidify their position in the Eastern Conference.

The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, set to close on February 5th, and teams are working quickly to finalize moves that will shape their postseason chances.
