Chery Indonesia is bolstering its presence in the growing hybrid vehicle market with an expanded Tiggo 8 CSH lineup unveiled at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025.Responding to consumer demand, the automaker will now offer the hybrid SUV in comfort and premium all-wheel drive variants, alongside the existing premium trim.the move aims to broaden the appeal of the Tiggo 8 CSH, providing options for a wider range of buyers and budgets in the Indonesian automotive landscape.

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has expanded its Tiggo 8 CSH lineup with the introduction of two new variants at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. The hybrid vehicle, previously available only in a premium trim, now offers both a more affordable comfort option and a higher-end premium AWD model.
Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of PT CSI, stated that customer feedback following the Tiggo 8 CSH’s initial launch several months ago indicated demand for both a lower-priced version with fewer features and a more sophisticated, fully-equipped model.

This dual approach, he explained, aims to provide consumers with a wider range of choices to suit their individual needs and budgets.
“With the addition of these two new variants, the Tiggo 8 CSH now has a total of three options available. The comfort model serves as the entry point, followed by the premium and premium AWD trims as our higher-end offerings,” Darmawan said on Saturday, November 22, at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

While details differentiating the new variants from the existing premium trim were not immediately available, Darmawan highlighted several easily identifiable features.
“I don’t recall the specifics at the moment, but the most noticeable differences include the inclusion of a sunroof, power backdoor, memory seat functionality, and the number of speakers. The engine and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety features remain consistent across all models,” he noted.

All Tiggo 8 CSH models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged Acteco H4J15 engine paired with an electric motor and an 18.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (Li-Po) battery. The vehicle incorporates Chery’s Super Hybrid technology, designed for fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. This expansion reflects a broader industry trend toward offering hybrid options to meet evolving consumer preferences.
The comfort variant of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH is priced at approximately Rp 439 million, while the AWD version carries a price tag of Rp 559 million. Both prices are on-the-road in Jakarta and include a six-year vehicle warranty, a ten-year powertrain warranty, and an eight-year battery warranty.
