Dolphins’ Bradley Chubb Shows Improvement, Expected to Play Thursday
Miami Dolphins edge rusher Bradley Chubb progressed to a limited practice today, increasing his likelihood of playing in Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Chubb, who has been dealing with shoulder and foot injuries, was previously listed as a non-participant in practice yesterday. Head coach Mike McDaniel expressed confidence in Chubb’s availability, stating, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m very confident, unless there’s a setback, that he’ll be playing.” McDaniel added that Chubb “has given me zero indication that he wouldn’t” and is “excited for the game.”
Wide receiver Dee Eskridge also showed improvement, moving to a limited practice after being estimated as a non-participant yesterday. Safety Ashtyn Davis (quad) and tight end Julian Hill (ankle) remain out, while safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (thumb) continues to be limited. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa fully participated in practice despite dealing with a left thumb injury and illness; you can find more information about common NFL injuries here. Chubb’s potential return is significant as he is a key component of the Dolphins’ pass rush, currently ranked among the league leaders.
The team will continue to monitor Chubb’s progress, and McDaniel indicated that his status will depend on whether he experiences any further setbacks before Thursday’s game.
