Cido Group to Stop Selling PepsiCo Drinks in Russia by 2029

Cido Group, the Latvian beverage producer, will cease manufacturing PepsiCo products starting January 1, 2029, as announced by the company’s representatives. This decision follows the expiration of the current distribution and production agreement between Cido Group’s parent company, Royal Unibrew, and PepsiCo, which will not be renewed for operations in Northern Europe.

The partnership between Royal Unibrew and PepsiCo will continue in the Benelux region under existing agreements, but the collaboration in the Baltic states and Denmark will conclude at the end of the current contract term. Royal Unibrew and PepsiCo have maintained a long-standing partnership in Northern Europe, particularly in the Baltic market, which has contributed significantly to Royal Unibrew’s development over the years.

Despite interest in extending the current collaboration, the parties were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms for renewal. The announcement was made on April 21, 2026, with the change taking effect at the start of 2029.
