Ras Al Khaimah’s Food & Beverage Sector Sees 150% Surge in Restaurant Partnerships

Ras Al Khaimah’s food and beverage industry is experiencing significant growth, fueled by a 150 percent increase in restaurant collaborations and the expansion of cloud kitchen facilities, potentially boosting the emirate’s tourism sector.

Industry data reveals a substantial rise in local engagement and demand for diverse dining options. At the Entrepreneurs Forum 2025, a Talabat spokesperson highlighted the company’s support for this expansion through cloud kitchens in Ras Al Khaimah, with over 30 restaurants participating and reporting growth rates exceeding 75 percent. Local establishments have also benefited, with some experiencing sales increases of up to 120 percent, contributing to a 90 percent rise in overall customer engagement.

The Entrepreneurs Forum, now in its third year, serves as a key platform for entrepreneurship in the region. Aisha Obaid Al Ayyan, Director of the Business Development Department at Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Economic Development (RAK DED), explained the forum was designed based on direct feedback from local entrepreneurs. “We collected insights on the services they want, the types of partnerships they seek, and the offers that would truly benefit them, and incorporated all of that into this year’s forum,” she said. The event also showcased success stories, such as a home-based entrepreneur who leveraged the forum to identify the best digital payment solutions for her business, a critical step for scaling operations – learn more about RAK DED’s initiatives.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK DED, the forum featured ten companies offering business matchmaking and exclusive deals. Etisalat by e& emphasized its commitment to digital transformation and artificial intelligence, outlining plans to integrate AI across business functions and offering a start-up support package including Wi-Fi and digital payments. This focus on technological advancement aligns with the UAE’s broader national digital strategy.

Officials stated that RAK DED will continue to prioritize support for entrepreneurs and foster a dynamic business environment in the emirate.
