Dahlqvist showcased her speed and consistency, dominating the prologue with the fastest time and confidently advancing through the quarter and semi-final rounds. In a highly competitive final, Moa Lundgren initially led the pack, but the decisive battle for the podium unfolded in the final stretch. Dahlqvist ultimately powered ahead to secure the gold medal, finishing ahead of fellow Swede Jonna Sundling.
“It was beyond expectations, I was very happy that I also skied so well in the prologue,” Dahlqvist told SVT after the race. “It’s something I’ve worked very hard on to be able to achieve even there.”
On the men’s side, Anton Grahn delivered a stunning performance, surging to the top of the podium. Edvin Anger established a fast pace early in the final, challenging all but Grahn. As the race neared its conclusion, Grahn unleashed an impressive burst of speed, securing a decisive victory.
Jesper Persson also enjoyed a strong debut, finishing third with a comfortable margin behind Anger. The result highlighted the depth of Swedish cross-country talent.
