Understanding Digital Crime

Thousands of people in the Netherlands fall victim to digital fraud every day. Common scams include phishing emails, WhatsApp fraud, identity theft, ransomware, and hacking, with older adults being particularly vulnerable. This highlights the growing require for public awareness and preventative measures against online threats.

Lieke Ruesink from Bibliotheek Oost Achterhoek will be the guest speaker, explaining how digital criminals operate and how to recognize warning signs. She will similarly provide practical tips to protect yourself and your loved ones.
