Egypt is conducting the second phase of its 2025 parliamentary elections this Monday and Tuesday across 13 governorates, with over 1,300 candidates vying for seats in the country’s legislative body.The National Election Authority confirmed that, unlike presidential and referendum votes, fluorescent ink will not be used in these elections. Polling stations will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a brief interruption from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., as Egyptians participate in a key process shaping their government.

The second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections is underway across 13 governorates, taking place Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25. The elections encompass 73 electoral districts with a total of 5,287 polling stations.
A total of 1,316 candidates are competing for individual seats, alongside lists representing Cairo and both Upper and Lower Delta regions, and East Delta. Polling stations will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a one-hour break from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The elections are a key step in Egypt’s political process, determining the composition of the country’s legislative body.
Governorates participating in the second phase of the parliamentary elections:
1-Cairo, with 19 electoral districts and 205 candidates.
2-Qalyubia, with 6 electoral districts and 71 candidates.
3-Dakahlia, with 10 electoral districts and 288 candidates.
4-Gharbia, with 7 electoral districts and 140 candidates.
5-Menoufia, with 6 electoral districts and 125 candidates.
6-Kafr El Sheikh, with 4 electoral districts and 88 candidates.
7-Sharqia, with 9 electoral districts and 253 candidates.
8-Damietta, with 2 electoral districts and 39 candidates.
9-Port Said, with 2 electoral districts and 20 candidates.
10-Ismailia, with 3 electoral districts and 36 candidates.
11-Suez, with 1 electoral district and 18 candidates.
12-South Sinai, with 2 electoral districts and 15 candidates.
13-North Sinai, with 2 electoral districts and 12 candidates.
