Luxury watchmaker and jeweler Chopard debuted its new Ice Cube haute Joaillerie collection Tuesday night at an exclusive event overlooking New York City, signaling a continued blurring of lines between high fashion, jewelry design and technological aesthetics. The launch, held during the final days of New York Fashion Week, showcased the Swiss brand’s latest interpretations of its popular Ice Cube line, inspired in part by the minimalist design of Apple products. The event drew a notable crowd of celebrities and industry insiders to the rooftop of One Vanderbilt, further solidifying the city’s position as a global fashion capital.

Chopard unveiled its Ice Cube Haute Joaillerie collection at a New York City event held at the rooftop of One Vanderbilt, a striking architectural landmark near Grand Central Terminal. The launch, timed with the closing days of Fashion Week, showcased jewelry designs inspired by the geometric forms of Apple’s iconic cube.

The collection, featuring necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings crafted from ethical gold and diamonds, represents an evolution of Chopard’s signature Ice Cube aesthetic. According to Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s co-president and artistic director, the line “has always been synonymous with a sharp and refined design.” The new pieces emphasize volume, movement, and artistic expression, aiming to be both wearable and unexpected, akin to contemporary art for the body.

Model Emily Ratajkowski was selected as the face of the collection for the evening, a choice Scheufele described as a natural fit. “Emily embodies the spirit of the Ice Cube Haute Joaillerie collection – bold, elegant, and resolutely modern. She perfectly reflects the spirit of New York Fashion Week.”

The event, held 427 meters above the city, drew a crowd including Ashley Graham, Ariana Greenblatt, Odell Beckham Jr., Jodie Turner-Smith, Ryan Destiny, Pom Klementieff, and Sofia Reyes. Guests enjoyed a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, featuring items like caviar-topped chicken nuggets, while DJ Mia Moretti provided the evening’s soundtrack. The launch underscores the increasing intersection of luxury brands and design principles found in technology, as both industries explore minimalist aesthetics and innovative materials.

Chopard’s embrace of the cube as a design element reflects a broader trend of geometric inspiration in contemporary jewelry and product design. The company stated that the collection is a further exploration of the cube’s iconic form, resulting in bolder and more artistic pieces. The event concluded late into the night, cementing New York’s reputation as “the city that never sleeps.”
