Zoo Boo and Spooky Seas Events Planned for Sioux Falls
The Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium in Sioux Falls will host its annual Halloween-themed events, Zoo Boo and Spooky Seas, throughout October, offering family-friendly activities and entertainment.
Zoo Boo will take place on Friday, October 17, and all day Saturday, October 18, featuring trick-or-treat stations, a DJ in the Plaza, and appearances by the Sioux Empire Ghostbusters. New this year, the Zoo is offering VIP early access on Friday from 5 to 6 PM for an additional $5, and a Saturday night fire show. A Sensory Hour, sponsored by Empower U, will be held Saturday morning from 10 to 11 AM to provide a quieter experience for families who need it. Attendees ages 2-12 will receive a free glow stick and treat bag. These events draw significant crowds, boosting local tourism and providing a popular community tradition.
The fun continues at the Butterfly House and Aquarium on Saturday, October 25, with Spooky Seas, including a Haunted Photo Scavenger Hunt, a visit with the Little Mermaid, and exploration of a Haunted Shipwreck in the Discover Den.
