Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello has stirred debate by suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t possess the same level of natural talent as Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, or Ronaldo Nazário. The comments came during a televised appearance on the Egyptian channel ON Sport.
“Cristiano is a great goalscorer and an amazing athlete, but he doesn’t have the genius of Messi, Maradona, or Ronaldo Nazário,” Capello stated.
He further emphasized the distinction, adding, “That genius that the other three had is absent in Cristiano. You can’t compare him to them.”
