The 74th annual Miss Universe competition concluded with the selection of Bossch as the winner, an announcement made via the organization’s official Instagram account. The post hailed her as a rising star, praising her “elegance, strength, and radiant spirit.”

Bossch, radiant in a red gown, was met with enthusiastic applause from her fellow finalists after being crowned. She had previously competed against representatives from Cote D’Ivoire, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Thailand in the final five, ultimately facing off against Thailand in the final two before securing the victory.
The competition wasn’t without its challenges for Bossch. She found herself at the center of a public dispute with Miss Universe Executive Director Nawat Itsaragrisil during a preliminary event.
The incident occurred when Itsaragrisil questioned Bossch’s absence from a sponsor photoshoot, reportedly calling her “stupid” in front of cameras. Bossch subsequently left the room, followed by the reigning Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kjær Theilvig.
“I love Thailand. I appreciate the people here, and I believe you are amazing. But what Nawat did to me was very disrespectful. He said I was stupid because he has problems with the organization, and that’s unfair,” Bossch stated.
“The world needs to know and see this because we are all empowered women. This platform is important for speaking out, and no one has the right to silence our voices,” she added.
Olivia Yace of Cote D’Ivoire was named fourth runner-up, Ma. Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines took third runner-up, Stephany Abasali of Venezuela was second runner-up, and Praveenar Singh was first runner-up in the 2025 Miss Universe competition. The outcome marks a significant moment for Mexican representation on the global stage, and the pageant continues to be a prominent platform for female empowerment.
