A public and increasingly acrimonious split is unfolding between Hungarian television personality Marsi Anikó and her husband, Gábor Gyarmati. Gyarmati announced the couple’s impending divorce via TikTok,a move that followed Anikó’s recent disclosure of a new relationship and Gyarmati’s earlier declaration of cosmetic surgery prompted by online criticism. The unfolding drama, characterized by public accusations and revelations, highlights a trend of airing private matters on social media, and has drawn attention to the proposed February 14th court date.
Hungarian television personality Marsi Anikó’s husband, Gábor Gyarmati, recently announced their impending divorce in a TikTok video, revealing a court date and airing personal grievances. The news comes amidst a pattern of public disclosures from the couple regarding their relationship.
Gyarmati shared the news on TikTok, explaining that he and Anikó have decided to separate. “My wife called me a blanket in a previous post, and since then, I’ve been getting comments saying I’m ‘aggressive’ or that ‘Anikó deserves better,’” he said in the video. “I spent the night thinking about it, and I realized my beloved wife deserves much better. So, we – after discussing it – decided to get divorced. It’s hard to talk about this, because self-awareness is very important. The bottom line is that our divorce hearing is on February 14th, and I wish her all the best in finding a man she deserves, who speaks to her nicely and anticipates her wishes. Not a blanket like me. I’m going to focus more on my own self-awareness. I’m sorry.”
In a surprising turn, Gyarmati concluded the serious announcement by promoting his business. The proposed court date, Valentine’s Day, also raised eyebrows, as Hungarian courts typically do not hold hearings on Saturdays.
Anikó responded to her husband’s video through Blikk, stating she was unaware he was planning to make such a public statement and was surprised by his claims.
This isn’t the first time the couple has publicly addressed their personal lives. In December 2024, Anikó revealed she was in a new relationship, saying, “I have a new love! I’m sorry, Gábor!” Gyarmati, for his part, previously announced he underwent cosmetic surgery in response to negative online comments, stating, “This can’t go on like this.”
