Connecticut High School Football: Top Teams Clash in Weekend Matchups

Twenty-four high school football games are scheduled across the Hartford and New Haven metro area today and tomorrow, October 17-18, featuring several of the state’s top-ranked teams as they compete for crucial wins and playoff positioning.

Friday’s schedule includes 18 contests, with No. 5 Killingly facing off against Masuk at 6:30 p.m. Other key matchups include Prince versus Amistad at 4:00 p.m., Nonnewaug against Platt Tech, and Maloney taking on Fairfield Prep, all starting at 6:00 p.m. Fans can follow all the action live on the Hartford & New Haven Metro High School Football Scoreboard.

Saturday’s slate of six games is headlined by No. 4 Choate Rosemary Hall School’s contest against Hotchkiss School at 3:00 p.m. No. 2 Avon Old Farms will host Taft School tonight at 6:00 p.m. as they aim to remain undefeated. These games are particularly important as teams jockey for favorable seeding in the upcoming state championships, according to the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
