UNLV Swimmer Bryson Huey Named MPSF Athlete of the Week
LAS VEGAS – UNLV senior swimmer Bryson Huey was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Men’s Athlete of the Week today, October 8, 2025, following a strong performance against No. 3 Arizona State.
Huey, a Walnut Creek, California native, secured three top-three finishes in the dual meet. He placed third in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 19.31 seconds, the second-fastest in UNLV program history and currently the third-fastest time nationally. He also recorded a time of 46.93 in the 100-meter butterfly, ranking seventh in the nation.
The senior also anchored the Rebels’ 400-meter freestyle relay team to a third-place finish with a time of 2:56.32. This recognition highlights Huey’s potential as a key competitor heading into the championship season; strong performances like these can significantly impact team rankings and NCAA qualification opportunities.
