Damascus, January 3 /QNA/ Israeli military forces entered the southern countryside of Quneitra in southern Syria on Friday evening.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), a force comprised of five military vehicles departed from Tel al-Ahmar al-Gharbi and moved toward the village of Ein Zaywan in the Quneitra countryside. The force established a checkpoint on the western entrance to the village, along the road connecting Ein Zaywan and the village of Koudna.

Earlier on Friday, Israeli forces had entered the villages of Ein al-Qadi and Bareeqa, also in the southern Quneitra countryside.

Israel continues to carry out repeated violations in the southern regions of Syria, in breach of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and relevant UN Security Council resolutions. Syria has repeatedly called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and deter these actions. This latest incursion highlights the ongoing instability in the region and the complex dynamics surrounding the Syrian conflict.
