Limited Run Games’ Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection will be removed from digital storefronts on March 31, 2026, just over two years after its initial release on Switch and other platforms, the publisher announced.
The delisting means the game will no longer be available for digital purchase after that date, though players who have already purchased the collection – either physically or digitally – will still be able to download and play it. The company did not provide a specific reason for the removal, but indicated it is likely due to expiring licensing agreements, a situation that has occurred with other retro game collections in the past.
Limited Run Games stated, “We wanted to give you an early heads-up that the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will no longer be available for purchase on digital storefronts after March 31, 2026. If you already purchased the game, don’t worry — you’ll still be able to redownload and play it anytime.” The company emphasized its commitment to transparency and providing fans with ample notice to acquire the game before it’s delisted.
The Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection, released on November 22, 2023, brings together a range of titles originally released across NES, Game Boy, SNES and Genesis. The collection represents a nostalgic seem back at early attempts to translate the blockbuster film franchise into interactive entertainment, a period when video game technology was rapidly evolving. The included games are:
- Jurassic Park (NES)
- Jurassic Park (Game Boy)
- Jurassic Park (SNES)
- Jurassic Park (Genesis / Mega Drive)
- Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues (SNES)
- Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues (Game Boy)
- Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition (Genesis / Mega Drive)
Fans interested in preserving access to these classic titles are encouraged to purchase the collection before the March 31, 2026 deadline. More information is available from Nintendo Life.
