Morning Strike Hits Central Chuhuiv Today: What is Known

Chuhuiv Mayor Halyna Minayeva reported that occupying forces launched drones at the city center at 8:46 a.m. Local time.

“The strike resulted in damage to windows in a multi-story building and a medical facility. Fortunately, no residents were injured,” Minayeva said.

She added that crews are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Emergency Services Detail Responses Across Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, emergency services responded to 35 incidents, according to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast. Firefighters were dispatched to extinguish seven fires, two of which were caused by Russian shelling, officials said. Fires were extinguished in the Kupiansk and Chuhuiv districts of the region.

“In the village of Malynivka, Chuhuiv district, a warehouse building on the territory of a civilian enterprise was on fire,” emergency services reported.

Syniehubov: Five Injured in Kharkiv Oblast Over Past 24 Hours

Russian forces shelled Kharkiv and ten settlements in the region over the past day, according to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov.

“In the village of Bezruky, Derhachiv community, a 70-year-old woman was injured; in the village of Seredniy Burlyk, Velykoburluk community, two men, ages 65 and 70, sustained injuries; in the town of Kupiansk-Uzlovyi, two men, ages 46 and 43, were injured. Also, in Seredniy Burlyk, two police officers from the ‘White Angels’ unit were killed during an evacuation. In the village of Malynivka, rescuers recovered the bodies of three people from under the rubble,” Syniehubov said.

The following weapons were used in the attacks across Kharkiv Oblast over the past 24 hours:

  • Four “Geran-2” type drones;
  • Eight fpv drones;
  • Four drones (type is being determined).

Shelling in Kharkiv damaged roofs and windows in two apartment buildings, while a private home was damaged in the Bohodukhiv district.

“In the Kupiansk district, a private house, a grain storage facility (Nova Oleksandrivka), a vehicle, and a private house (village of Prykolotne) were damaged; in the Izium district, two private houses and a vehicle (village of Horokhivatka) were damaged,” Syniehubov added.

Where Fighting Took Place in Kharkiv Oblast – General Staff Data as of 8:00 a.m.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 12 battles took place in Kharkiv Oblast over the past 24 hours.

On the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked four times in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Volchans’ki Khutory, and Kruhle. On the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy assaults. Fighting took place near Peschane, Novoosynove, and Kurylivka.

“In total, 175 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours. According to updated information, the enemy launched two missile strikes yesterday, using two missiles, carried out 89 aviation strikes, dropping 229 guided aerial bombs. 7,846 kamikaze drones and 2,967 artillery shellings of our troops and settlements were recorded, including 69 from multiple launch rocket systems,” the General Staff stated.

Overnight in Kharkiv and Oblast

Air raid alerts sounded in Kharkiv and the surrounding region at midnight. Ukrainian air defenses remained silent, while monitoring channels reported that air defenses were active in Belgorod, Russia, suggesting a possible mixed attack including missiles targeting the region.

At 1:36 a.m., Ukrainian defenders detected drones over Kharkiv Oblast. A threat of strikes emerged for Balakliia, and Chuhuiv. The all-clear was given at 2:24 a.m., and no further threats to Kharkiv Oblast were reported until morning.

Another air raid alert was issued this morning at 7:11 a.m. Air defense officials warned of a possible ballistic missile threat.
